My sweet baby girl, you have brought so much joy to our family in these short five months. Your constant sweet smiles and infectious laughter help make all the sleepless nights more than worth it. You are still pretty little (especially relative to how big your brother was), but you are growing fast and starting to fill out quite a bit. All your new oh-so-lovable squishiness is pretty adorable. Your physical abilities are also developing much faster than I anticipated. You started rolling over right before you turned four months, can now sit unassisted for a brief moment and last week started getting up on your hands and knees and rocking back and forth. I even caught you full on planking today! I am so not ready for you to crawl quite yet so if you can please slow down a bit, that would be awesome…thanks! ha ha. You are very proud of all your new accomplishments and love practicing them as much as you can. You are becoming more and more observant and are always examining objects and toys very intently. You are especially fascinated with the tags on everything right now. You are starting to interact more and love to “talk” and “sing” constantly. You think your brother is hilarious and he makes you laugh more than anything. You have your moments, but overall you are an extremely easy baby and usually wake up happy every morning. Even though I would love to be able to sleep in a little bit longer, waking up to the sounds of your singing and cooing through the monitor is so much better than waking up to the sound of an alarm. I couldn’t ask for a better way to start the day than seeing your huge smile as soon as I walk into your room each morning. You are such a blessing to me and I thank God for you everyday.
I love you my sweet baby girl, but you are growing up way too fast…please stay little for just a little while longer.
