“I never knew how much I loved your father until I saw how much he loved you.”
Dear Daniel,
It makes my heart so happy the way your face lights up whenever you hear your daddy’s car pull into the driveway. You immediately stop whatever you are doing and enthusiastically run to the front door with your arms wide open flailing behind you in preparation to give him a great big hug. When he opens up the door and lifts you up, you wrap your arms tightly around his neck, sometimes refusing to let go. Your daddy is often traveling or working late and the days that you don’t get to see him are especially hard on you. However, this makes the hours that you do get to spend with him that much more precious. Back in August, we took are very first official family vacation to Avila Beach and you just soaked up every minute of fun in the sun and being able to spend every waking moment with your daddy for an entire week. I took these images spontaneously while we were walking along the beach after getting our morning lattes. Even though you are not typically the most cooperative subject whenever I pull out my camera, you didn’t seem to mind this time as I just allowed you to play in the sand and spend time with your daddy. I am so glad I was able to capture this tiny glimpse into your relationship with him. I hope and pray that this special bond will continue to grow as you get older. I have loved your daddy for many years now but seeing how much he loves you, makes me love him even more. I love you my sweet boy and you are such an incredible blessing to both me and your father.
Love,
Mommy
